The calibration test page is a standard PostScript file that is RIPed and imaged in the normal manner. All factors that affect the halftone response of the system will be detected by measuring the calibration image. Only nine measurements need to be made on the film. Measurements are automatically downloaded into the calibration table running on the Mac. Automatic interpolation completes the table. Compensation for page geometry and dot gain is also possible. Calibration tables are saved and downloaded to the RIP when needed.
Hold conventional, stochastic, and proofing halftones to within 1%. Pre-computed transfer table allows your RIP to run at full speed.
Perfect Dmax , halftone, and processor control is now possible!
